Wayne State College athletics has completed renovations and upgrades to the men's basketball locker room thanks to a $25,000 gift from State Nebraska Bank &Trust of Wayne. The upgrades were recently showcased to the Wayne community at a Wayne Chamber of Commerce coffee on Friday, October 16th.
"I would like to thank Matt Ley, his family and State Nebraska Bank & Trust for their generosity and continuous support of our basketball program," said WSC head men's basketball coach
Brian Dolan. "With the improvements we have been able to make in our locker room thanks to the gift from SNB, we are able to show our recruits that we are serious about making our basketball program a top-tier program not only in the NSIC but also at the NCAA Division II level."
The project included the reconfiguration of the locker room to provide a separate space for multimedia and film review along with installation of high-end graphics, branding and illuminated signage.
"It was a pleasure to work with WSC and the men's basketball coaching staff on the update to their locker room," remarked Matt Ley, CEO of State Nebraska Bank & Trust. "Coach Dolan, his staff and Mr. Powicki are committed to improving the program and we were happy to help partner with them to realize their goals. State Nebraska Bank & Trust hopes to see a ton more pennants and conference titles in each and every locker room and gym at Wayne State College."
