The visiting Beavers improve to 6-4 overall and 3-4 in the NSIC while the Wildcats fall to 1-6-3 and 1-5-1 in league play.
The Beavers scored in the 28
th minute when Sarah Stram found the back of the net with an assist going to Emily Olson to put BSU in front 1-0.
WSC nearly scored at the end of the first half as
Amy Oates and
Kelsey Engstrom both had point blank shots off a corner kick from
Valerie Hernandez, but both attempts were blocked by the Beavers.
Bemidji State dominated the second half, holding a 13-1 advantage in shots, as WSC junior goalkeeper
Kylie Comba kept the Wildcats in the game with several outstanding saves as the Beavers finished with the 1-0 win.
For the game, Bemidji State held a 25-6 advantage in shots over WSC including 12-1 in shots on goal. The Beavers held a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks while both teams were called for eight fouls.

Kelsey Engstrom led WSC with two shots while
Hannah Knight had the lone shot on goal for the 'Cats.

Kylie Comba was credited with 11 saves while allowing just one goal.
The Wildcats will be on the road next weekend, visiting Minnesota Duluth Friday evening at 6 p.m. and St. Cloud State Sunday in a 1 p.m. contest.
