Wildcats drop 1-0 decision at Minnesota Duluth

            Minnesota Duluth scored the lone goal of the contest in the 25th minute to give the host Bulldogs a 1-0 Northern Sun Conference women's soccer win over Wayne State Friday evening at Malosky Stadium in Duluth, Minnesota.  UMD is now 4-6-1 and 3-4-1 in the NSIC while WSC drops to 1-7-3 and 1-6-1 in league play.
            Natalie St. Martin produced the game's lone goal at the 25:17 mark of the first half with an assist from Laura Edgren. 
            UMD held a slight 6-5 edge in shots in the first half over the Wildcats and 8-3 in the second half for a 14-8 advantage in the game, including 10-6 in shots on goal.
            Minnesota Duluth held an 8-4 advantage in corner kicks on WSC while UMD was called for five fouls to just two on the Wildcats.
            Freshman Christina Stasi led WSC with two shots on goal followed by senior Josie Brown with two shots and one on goal.  Amy Oates, Kelsey Engstrom and Natalie Rech each recorded one shot on goal.
            Junior goalkeeper Kylie Comba notched nine saves in the contest while allowing just one goal.
            The Wildcats will be in action again Sunday afternoon playing at St. Cloud State in a 1 p.m. contest.
