Wayne State College opens the 2015 football season at home Saturday hosting Minnesota Crookston in a 1 p.m. contest at Bob Cunningham Field. The Wildcats, 5-6 last season and 3-4 in the NSIC South, were picked seventh in the NSIC South and tied for 13th overall in the NSIC Preseason Coaches Poll while the Golden Eagles (0-11, 0-7 NSIC North) were listed eighth in the NSIC North and 16th overall in the league. WSC holds a 10-2 lead in the all-time series against UMC, winning the last six meetings. The Wildcats won the most recent battle against the Golden Eagles, 41-25 in Crookston, two years ago.
