#9 Wayne State had three players record double figures in kills to lead the Wildcats in a 25-20, 25-12 and 25-22 Northern Sun Conference volleyball win Saturday afternoon over the University of Mary at Rice Auditorium in Wayne. The Wildcats move to 12-3 overall and 4-3 in league play while Mary drops to 7-9 and 2-5 in the NSIC.
The Wildcats were consistent attacking the ball with 15 kills in all three sets during the match while recording just nine attack errors. WSC finished the match hitting .321 on 45 kills and 112 attempts while Mary hit .208 with 37 kills, 15 attack errors and 106 attacks.
Senior
Alyssa Frauendorfer led Wayne State's balanced attack with 12 kills on 20 attempts with just one error and a .550 attack percentage. She became the 13
th player in school history to reach 1,200 career kills and is now tied with Cori Hobbs (1,211 from 2010-13) for 12
th place on the all-time kills list at WSC.
Senior middle hitter
Alex Opperman tied a career-high with 11 kills on just 17 attempts with no errors and a .647 attack percentage. Junior
Erin Gross also reached double figures with a career high 10 kills on 17 attempts and a .471 attack percentage.

Michaela Mestl led WSC with 16 digs while sophomore setter
Megan Gebhardt handed out 36 set assists. WSC had eight service aces in the win with Gebhardt and Mestl each recording three aces.
WSC held an 8-1 edge in blocks over the Marauders with Opperman and Frauendorfer each recording three blocks for the 'Cats.
The Wildcats will continue their five-game home stand Tuesday evening hosting Chadron State at 7 p.m. in the 11
th annual Black Out/Pack the House Night sponsored by the WSC SPORTS Club/PED 411 Sport Marketing Class.
