Thanks to extensive snow melt in the last 24 hours, the Wayne State College football team began 2016 spring drills at Cunningham Field in Wayne Wednesday afternoon. The Wildcats will conduct 15 practices during the spring, culminated by the 2016 spring game on Saturday, April 23rd at Cunningham Field starting at 3 p.m.
The Wildcats will hold practices every Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. along with Saturday workouts at 9:30 a.m. leading up to the April 23rd spring contest.
Wayne State looks to replace four starters on offense and five more on defense from a 2015 team that was 4-7 overall.
WSC is scheduled to open the 2016 season on Thursday, September 1st in a 6 p.m. night game at MSU Moorhead.
