The Wayne State College football team opens the 2016 season Thursday night visiting MSU Moorhead in a 6 p.m. contest at Alex Nemzek Stadium.  The Wildcats are coming off a 4-7 campaign last season (1-6 NSIC South) while the Dragons recorded a 6-5 record last season (3-4 NSIC North) for its first winning year since 2006.  MSU Moorhead holds a 13-9 lead in the all-time series vs. Wayne State with the Dragons winning the most recent meeting between the two clubs, 40-36 in Wayne two years ago.  WSC has won its last four visits to Moorhead with the most recent victory coming in the 2012 season opener 49-6 over the Dragons.
