The Wayne State College football team opens NSIC South Division play Saturday afternoon with a visit to Concordia-St. Paul. Kickoff is slated for 12 p.m. at Sea Foam Stadium in St. Paul, Minnesota. The 'Cats are 1-3 on the season following last week's 23-22 win over St. Cloud State while the Golden Bears are off to a 2-2 start despite a 31-7 setback last week at Northern State. CSP holds a slight 9-8 edge in the all-time series against Wayne State with eight of the last 12 meetings decided by five points or less. Last season, WSC edged CSP in Wayne 20-17. Two years ago in St. Paul, WSC registered a rare blowout victory in the series, 54-14. CSP beat Wayne two years ago in Wayne 28-24.
