Wayne State battled the University of Mary Marauders to a 0-0 double overtime tie Sunday afternoon in Northern Sun Conference women's soccer played at the WSC Soccer Pitch in Wayne, Neb. WSC is now 1-2-3 overall and 0-1-2 in conference play while the Marauders are now 3-1-1 and 1-1-1 in the NSIC.
Both teams had three shots in the first half with each team adding eight shots in the second half. The University of Mary had three shots in the first overtime period compared to one by the Wildcats. The Marauders followed by having three more shots in the second overtime period with WSC adding two shots. Sophomore
Sophie Ketchmark almost found the back of the net for the 'Cats with 11 seconds remaining in the second overtime period but missed wide left.
For the contest, Mary held a 17-14 advantage in shots over WSC and 7-4 in shots on goal. The Marauders edged the Wildcats 5-4 in corner kicks while Wayne State was called for 18 fouls compared to 17 on Mary.

Wayne State will be on the road Friday visiting Winona State in a 5 p.m. contest.
