Wayne State hosts Minnesota Duluth Saturday afternoon in a 1 p.m. contest at Bob Cunningham Field in Wayne. The 'Cats are 2-1 on the year following a 33-14 win at Minnesota Crookston last Thursday while the Bulldogs bring a 1-2 mark to Wayne following a 38-23 home loss to then #8 Minnesota State.  Minnesota Duluth holds a 12-1 lead in the all-time series against Wayne State that started in the 1993 season at the Metrodome Classic in Minneapolis. The lone WSC win came in the 2011 season when the Wildcats topped #1 and defending national champion Minnesota Duluth 7-0 with the lone score coming on a blocked punt return for a touchdown in the third quarter. Two years ago, UMD posted a 48-7 win over the Wildcats in Duluth.
