th ranked Wayne State College Saturday afternoon in Northern Sun Conference volleyball played at Halenbeck Hall in St. Cloud, Minn. The host Huskies are now 10-4 overall and 3-2 in the NSIC while the Wildcats drop to 7-6 and 2-3 in conference play.
SCSU posted a match-high .371 attack percentage in the first set to cruise to a 25-12 win.
The Huskies never trailed in the second set, limiting the Wildcats to a -.031 attack percentage in a 25-16 set win.
The third set saw eight ties and one lead change. The two teams traded points late into the set until St. Cloud State used a kill and WSC attack error to earn a 25-23 win.
St. Cloud State hit .284 for the match and held the Wildcats to a .075 hitting percentage. The Huskies had 50 kills on 116 attacks and 17 errors while WSC had 25 kills on 107 attacks and 17 errors.
SCSU held a 55-44 advantage in digs and 5-4 edge over the 'Cats in blocks. St. Cloud had four service aces with Wayne State adding one.
Erin Gross led Wayne State with seven kills followed by

Megan Gebhardt was credited with 22 assists in the match.
The Wildcats will be at home Tuesday evening for a non-conference match against South Dakota School of Mines starting at 6 p.m. in Rice Auditorium.
