The Wayne State College volleyball team slipped four spots to 22nd in the latest AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll released Monday afternoon. The Wildcats went 1-2 last week, beating then #12 Augustana 3-2 at home while dropping road matches at #6 Minnesota Duluth 3-1 and 3-0 at St. Cloud State
Wayne State received a total of 233 points in voting conducted by various Division II coaches across the country. It's the 107th consecutive national ranking for the WSC volleyball program dating back to September 28, 2009.
Wayne State plays three home matches this week – hosting South Dakota School of Mines Tuesday at 6 p.m., Minnesota Crookston Friday at 6 p.m. and Bemidji State Saturday in a 1 p.m. contest.
