Wayne State opens the 2018-19 men's basketball season this weekend at the Central Region TipOff Classic hosted by the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri.
The Wildcats meet Pittsburg State Friday at 5 p.m. followed by host Central Missouri battling Harding (Ark.) at 7 p.m.  Saturday's schedule features Pittsburg State vs. Harding at 6 p.m. and
Wayne State vs. Central Missouri at 8 p.m.  WSC returns three starters from last year's team that was 14-17 and 9-13 in NSIC play.  Pittsburg State was 17-13 last and 9-10 in the MIAA and returns
three starters while Central Missouri was 20-10 and 11-8 MIAA last year and also returns three starters from last season.
