Wayne State faces a short week as the Wildcats travel to St. Paul for a Thursday night NSIC South Division game against Concordia-St. Paul with kickoff set for 6 p.m. at Sea Foam Stadium. The game will be televised by Midco Sports Network, a sports cable station that serves South Dakota, North Dakota along with parts of western and northern Minnesota. Both teams are 1-2 on the season entering the contest as WSC fell at home late to Augustana Saturday night 27-21 while the Golden Bears lost at #2 Minnesota State 46-13.
Thanks to four straight wins against Concordia-St. Paul, Wayne State holds a 10-9 lead in the all-time series vs. the Golden Bears that started when the team joined the NSIC in the 1999 season. Last year, WSC won late in the contest 27-23 in Wayne and posted a 45-10 win in St. Paul two years ago. The Wildcats have won five of their last six games vs. CSP in St. Paul with the lone loss coming in 2011 27-24.
