AVCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll 11/18/19
The Wayne State College volleyball team moved up one spot to 12
th in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll released Monday afternoon. The Wildcats received 639 points in voting conducted by various Division II coaches across the nation.
Wayne State 2-1 in matches last week to close out the regular season. The 'Cats won 3-0 at Concordia-St. Paul Tuesday and 3-0 at home over MSU Moorhead Friday followed by a 3-1 home setback Saturday to #4 Northern State. The Wildcats, 24-6 overall, face #7 St. Cloud State (23-5) Friday at 5 p.m. in the first round of the NSIC Volleyball Tournament at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls. This season, WSC defeated SCSU in Wayne on October 19
th by scores of 25-20, 25-22, 25-19.
