The Wayne State College baseball team travels to Mankato, Minnesota Friday and Saturday for a three-game NSIC series at #25 Minnesota State that features the third and fourth place teams in the NSIC.  The Wildcats have won 19 of their last 22 games and are 28-10 overall and fourth in the NSIC with a 19-6 league mark while the Mavericks own a nine-game win streak and are 27-8 on the season and just ahead of WSC in third place in the NSIC with a 18-5 league mark.  The two teams did not meet last season and in the lone meeting of the 2017 season Minnesota State prevailed in a 3-2 controversial win over the Wildcats at the NSIC Tournament in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
