The Wayne State College women's basketball team opens the 2021 season this weekend as the Wildcats travel to Northern State to take on the Wolves at Wachs Arena in Aberdeen, South Dakota.  Games are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at 4 p.m. each day in the new, gender site single game format for the 2021 season due to COVID-19.  WSC is tied for fifth in the Preseason NSIC South Division poll while NSU was picked fifth in the North Division.  The Wildcats were 16-13 overall (11-11 NSIC) last season while the Wolves were 14-16 (9-13 NSIC).  In last year's lone meeting between the two clubs played in Wayne (1/18/20), Wayne State registered a 79-67 win over the Wolves.
