Southern Arkansas used a five-run fifth inning followed by a six-run seventh inning to defeat Wayne State College 15-5 in seven innings Saturday evening at the Alpine Fresh 4 HIM Baseball Classic in Cleburne, Texas. The Muleriders improve to 3-0 with the win while WSC drops to 1-1.
After Southern Arkansas opened the scoring with one run in the first, WSC tied the score with a single run in the second inning on a
Bryce Bisenius solo homer.
The Muleriders came back with two runs in the second and another in the third for a 4-1 lead.
WSC trimmed the deficit to 4-3 with a pair of runs.
