Wayne State visits Marshall, Minnesota Saturday evening for a 5 p.m. NSIC South Division battle at Southwest Minnesota State with the game played at Mattke Field at the Schwan Regional Event Center. The Wildcats are 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the NSIC South following last week's 32-24 home setback to #22 Augustana while the Mustangs are 2-5 and 1-2 in divisional play after falling 26-14 at Winona State last Saturday. WSC holds a 23-8 all-time lead in the series against SMSU that began in the 1969 season. The 'Cats have won four straight and five of the last six meetings vs. the Mustangs, including a 19-13 overtime win in Wayne in the last game played between the two clubs in the 2019 season. WSC has won the last three meetings against SMSU in Marshall, including a 23-14 win over the Mustangs in 2018.
