Wayne State opens the 2021 college football season at home Thursday evening hosting the University of Mary in a 6 p.m. contest at Bob Cunningham Field. The Wildcats were picked to finish fifth in the NSIC South Division Preseason Coaches Poll following a 4-7 record in the 2019 season (2-5 NSIC South) while the Marauders were 2-9 overall and 1-6 in the NSIC North Division in the 2019 season and are picked to finish sixth in the NSIC North Division this season.  WSC holds an 8-1 lead in the all-time series against the University of Mary, including a 26-23 win in Bismarck during the 2019 season in the most recent matchup between the two clubs.
