Wayne State College battled #24 Missouri Western to a 0-0 double overtime draw in non-conference women's college soccer played Friday afternoon at the WSC Soccer Pitch in Wayne. The Wildcats are now 0-1-1 following the tie while the visiting Griffons are now 2-0-1.
The first half ended in a 0-0 draw as the Griffons offense had five shots while the 'Cats had two. The second half saw seven shots from the Griffons to the Wildcats five.
Riann Daas,
Jaiden Thompson and
Annika Syvrud each had shots on goal for the Wildcats in the second period.
Missouri Western was the only team with shots in the first overtime where they recorded two. The second overtime saw equal shots from the 'Cats and Griffons, each having two.
Leading the Wildcats in shots was Megan Philips with three followed by
Morgan Rhodes with two shots.

Katherine Hageman had 11 saves on the afternoon, playing just shy of 106 minutes in the contest.
Regan Ott finished out the remaining four minutes of the game because of injury.
Missouri Western held a 16-9 advantage in shots over the Wildcats. Both teams had six corner kicks while Missouri Western was whistled for three more fouls than WSC (13-10).
The Wildcats will be at home again Sunday afternoon hosting Northwestern Oklahoma State in a 12 p.m. contest.
