#1 Wayne State volleyball stayed perfect on the season Saturday afternoon with a sweep over Minot State (25-13, 25-13,25-11) in Northern Sun Conference action at Rice Auditorium in Wayne. The 'Cats are now 23-0 on the year with a 13-0 NSIC Record. The Beavers will move to 0-20 on the season while having an 0-13 record in the NSIC.

    Minot State would jump out to an early 3-1 lead before the wildcats scored the next three points behind a
Maggie Brahmer kill. Wayne State would increase the lead midway through the first set at 14-9 behind Two kills from
Jordan McCormick and a kill from
Taya Beller. WSC Increased the lead the lead to 20-11 after a Brahmer kill. After a pair fo Minot State kills, WSC rattled off the last five points of the set to win 25-13. Brahmer and McCormick both lead the Wildcats with three kills in the set. Kelsie Chada and
Rachel Walker would both add three digs for the 'Cats in the set.

    Wayne State would open up set two on a 10-2 run to force the first timeout from Minot State of the day. The run was highlighted by two kills from Cada and an ace serve from Walker. WSC increased the lead to ten at 15-5 after a Beller kill midway through the second set. Wayne State would lead by as many as 12 points at 21-9 after the 'Cats forced a service error on the Beavers. WSC went on to win the set 25-13. Cada and Beller both had three kills in the set to lead the Wildcats.
Jessie Brandl led the team with six digs during the second set.

    A back-and-forth battle opened up the final set where the game was tied at five before the Wildcats went on an 9-0 run to make it 14-5. The run would see four Beller kills. WSC would lead by as many as 15 in the set at 24-9 before winning the set 25-11. Beller would lead WSC with eight kills in set three followed by Brahmer with four. Cada would lead the Wildcats also with four digs followed by Brandl with three.

    WSC would have a .385 attacking percentage in the victory over the Beavers. The Wildcats would also add seven service aces in the win with Walker leading with two. Brahmer would lead in blocks with three. Brandl would have 11 digs in the win and was followed by Cada with eight digs. Beller led WSC offensively with 13 kills followed by Brahmer with nine.

    The next action for Wayne State is Thursday evening when the Wildcats host Sioux Falls in a 6 p.m. contest at Rice Auditorium.  Â
