After playing seven of their last eight games on the road, Wayne State returns home for NSIC South Division action this weekend when they take on Winona State (6-4, 1-4 NSIC South) Saturday at 3:30 p.m. and Upper Iowa on Sunday (7-4, 4-1 NSIC South) at 1:30 p.m. in Rice Auditorium. Wayne State enters the weekend 8-3 with a 3-2 record in the NSIC South Division. The Wildcats last weekend defeated Concordia-St. Paul 77-73 while falling at #9 Minnesota State 96-89. Last season, Wayne State won both meetings against Winona State. At home, WSC won 76-55 and they defeated the Warriors on the road 84-78. Upper Iowa has won four of the previous five meetings against Wayne State inculding both of last season's contests. UIU defeated WSC at home 79-63 and 88-76 at Wayne State.
