NSIC Baseball Weekly Release 3/7/22

            Colin Lynam of Wayne State College was announced Monday afternoon as the Northern Sun Conference Baseball Player of the Week by the league office in Burnsville, Minnesota following his play in last Wednesday's non-conference sweep at William Jewell in Kansas City, Missouri.
            Lynam, a 6-0 185 pound junior outfielder from Platteview (Northeast CC), hit .556 in two games going 5 for 9 at the plate with five runs scored and a 1.000 slugging percentage.  He was 2 for 4 in the opener, a 10-4 win, with a double and run scored and followed that by going 3 for 5 with a home run, two RBI and four runs scored in a 14-10 second game win to complete the sweep.
            Wayne State is 4-4 on the season entering this week's spring break trip to Florida where the Wildcats play five games starting Thursday afternoon with a 1:30 p.m. game against Notre Dame College of Ohio.
