The Wayne State College women's basketball team returns to action Friday evening when they host Bemidji State (5-11, 2-10 NSIC) at 7:30 p.m. and Minnesota Crookston (8-10, 7-5 NSIC) Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Starting this weekend, the final 10 NSIC doubleheaders will feature the men's game first followed by the women's game. WSC is looking to end a five game losing streak after dropping home games last weekend to Minot State 70-57 and the University of Mary 56-49. The 'Cats are tied for fourth in the NSIC South at 5-7 and 9-7 overall. Bemidji State is 5-11 and 2-10 in the NSIC North while Minnesota Crookston starts the weekend fourth place in the NSIC North at 7-5 in the league and 8-10 overall. Last season WSC lost at Bemidji State 60-51 while last year's matchup at Minnesota Crookston was canceled due to COVID.
