Wayne State hosts #6 Southwest Minnesota State Tuesday evening in the annual Black Out Night match at Rice Auditorium at 6 p.m. followed by road games this weekend at Minnesota Crookston Friday at 5 p.m. and at Bemidji State Saturday for a 4 p.m. contest. Earlier this season (September 23), WSC rallied from a 2-1 deficit to win in five sets at SMSU (25-20, 22-25, 23-25, 25-16, 15-4). The 'Cats hosted UMC (October 1) and BSU (September 30) and picked up home sweeps. The Wildcats have won 16 straight matches and are 23-1 overall and first place in the NSIC with a 14-0 league mark heading into Tuesday's Black Out Night match vs. #6 Southwest Minnesota State. Last season, the Mustangs snapped Wayne State's school record 24-game win streak to open the 2022 season with a five-set win in Marshall.
