The Wildcats trailed at halftime 35-33 and trailed a share of the second half until surging in the final 10 minutes to rally for the victory.

Cody McCullough posted a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds while redshirt sophomore guard
Alec Millender added 11 points and seven assists.
Wayne State shot 54 percent from the field making 27 of 50 shots and was 4 for 15 from the 3-point line. The 'Cats made just 6 of 15 free throws for 40 percent.
Rio Piedras shot 54.3 percent for the game making 25 of 46 shots and was a sizzling 15 of 22 (68%) in the first half.
Diego Rios scored 11 points with Neftaly Acevedo adding 10.
The Wildcats held a 28-23 edge in rebounding thanks to 11 boards by McCullough. Millender handed out seven of Wayne State's 16 assists while McCullough had two steals.
