The Wayne State College volleyball team, seeded third and ranked third in the AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, faces Cal State Los Angeles Thursday at 12 p.m. Eastern Time (11 a.m. Central) in the opening match of the NCAA Division II Volleyball Elite Eight at the UPMC Events Center in Moon Township, Pa.  The Wildcats are 31-2 on the season after capturing their second-ever NCAA Central Region title last weekend with a 3-1 win over #2 ranked Concordia-St. Paul while the Golden Eagles from Cal State Los Angeles bring a 21-10 record into the contest after winning a second straight West Region title last weekend with a sweep over Cal State San Bernardino.  This will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams in volleyball.
