Augustana Twilight Invite Final Men's Results

            The Wayne State College men's cross country team took 15^th out of 32 teams with 418 points Friday evening at the season-opening Augustana Twilight Invitational held in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at Yankton Trails Park.  Senior Titus Kiptoo was the top Wildcat finisher placing 53^rd overall.
            South Dakota State captured the team title with 62 points followed by St. Thomas of Minnesota with 68 and Nebraska third at 83 points.  Augustana (94) and Minnesota State (190) rounded out the top five teams.
            Kiptoo, a senior from Kapsabet, Kenya, recorded a time of 20:42.86 on the four-mile course to place 53^rd out of 358 runners in the meet.
            Sophomore Quentin Dreyer followed in 72^nd place at 21:00.55 with senior Abe Schroeder next in 115^th place with a time of 21:31.94.
            Other Wildcat finishers included Gabe Peitz (145^th – 21:49.51), Andrew Wyllie (176^th – 22:14.89), Brandon Mitzel (214^th – 22:40.1), Brady Franzen (22:56.2) and Carter Roth (323^rd – 25:18.0).
            The next meet for Wayne State is Saturday, September 9^th when the Wildcats travel to Sioux Center, Iowa to compete in the Dordt Invitational.
