            #1 Wayne State posted 12 blocks and freshman outside hitter
Channatee Robles had a season-high 13 kills and a .440 hitting percentage as the Wildcats swept Sioux Falls 25-17, 25-19, 25-19 in Northern Sun Conference volleyball played at the Stewart Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Wildcats are now 10-1 and 2-0 in the NSIC while the host Cougars drop to 4-7 and 0-3 in league play.
           The 'Cats had six blocks and forced 10 attack errors on the Cougars in the opening set as WSC broke open a close set at the midway point to post a 25-17 opening set win.
           Tied at 11-11, WSC used three straight blocks to highlight a scoring streak that gave the 'Cats a 20-14 lead.
           WSC hit just .147 in the opening set, but its' defense forced 10 attack errors on USF while holding the Cougars to a -.097 hitting percentage. Robles and
Kelsie Cada each had three kills in the set while junior middle hitter
Maggie Brahmer had five blocks.
           The Wildcats never trailed the rest of the night. WSC hit .378 in the second set with 16 kills and two more blocks for a 25-19 second set win.

Taya Beller and Robles each recorded five kills in the set.
           The third set saw Brahmer and Robles both record five kills with Cada adding four as WSC completed the sweep with a 25-19 set win.
           WSC had four more blocks and forced seven more USF attack errors in the set.
           Wayne State finished the match with a .271 hitting percentage to just .067 for the Cougars. The 'Cats held a 42-31 edge in kills and 12-4 in blocks while also recording five service aces.
           Robles paced Wayne State with season-highs in kills (13) and hitting percentage (.440). Brahmer added 10 kills and eight blocks while Cada accounted for 10 kills and six digs.
           Setter
Rachel Walker was credited with 33 set assists while also leading the team in digs with nine.
           Wayne State continues their NSIC road trip Saturday afternoon with a 4 p.m. contest at #9 Southwest Minnesota State.
