The Wayne State men's basketball team travels to St. Cloud State and Bemidji State this weekend for NSIC road games. The Wildcats, who opened the season with seven straight wins followed by six consecutive losses, have won four of their last five games and are 11-7 on the season and 4-7 in the NSIC (11th place). WSC is coming off road wins last weekend at Northern State 70-69 and 73-53 at the University of Mary. Wayne State faces St. Cloud State (7-9, 3-7 NSIC) Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. and plays at 5:30 p.m. Saturday evening at Bemidji State, who is 10-6 and 6-4 in the league. St. Cloud State has a 25-7 lead in the all-time series vs. Wayne State. Last season, WSC won for the first time in 15 games played at St. Cloud by a score of 78-61. WSC holds a 30-25 lead in the series vs. Bemidji State. Last season the 'Cats won 68-53 in Wayne but lost to the Beavers one month later in the NSIC Tournament quarterfinals at the Sanford Pentagon 78-71. WSC won two years ago in Bemidji by a score of 77-71.
