The Wayne State College Aristocats Dance Team competed for the first-time ever at the UDA National Dance Competition in Orlando, Florida January 13 and 14. Competing against some of the top teams in the country, the Aristocats finished 13th place out of 22 teams in the competition. Aristocats head coach Taryn Thompson said WSC competed against such teams as Minnesota State, Minnesota Duluth and St. Cloud State just to name a few and she was very proud of their performance for the first time in a national contest. "The girls battled through the nerves and competed with professionalism, grace and confidence. Thompson added, "We also had some fun and enjoyed Disney and will remember this experience forever."
