The Wildcats open Northern Sun Conference play Tuesday evening at #18 Southwest Minnesota State and conclude non-conference play Thanksgiving weekend Saturday with a home game against Clarke University of Iowa in a pair of games this week.
WSC is off to a 5-0 start and is coming off a 65-64 win over Nebraska-Kearney Wednesday where the Wildcats rallied from a12-point deficit with 11 minutes to play.
SMSU, ranked 18th in last week's NABC/Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, enters Tuesday's league opener with a record of 4-1 on the season. Last year, WSC defeated SMSU in the lone meeting between the two schools in Wayne 73-62 (November 21).
Clarke University of Iowa is 1-5 on the season and coming off a 74-57 league win at Benedictine (Kan.) Saturday. This will be the first-ever meeting in men's basketball between WSC and Clarke.
