Wayne State faces Augustana Wednesday evening in the opening round of the NSIC Men's Basketball Tournament with tip off set for 6 p.m. at the Elmen Center in Sioux Falls. The Wildcats are the #10 seed with records of 16-13 overall and 9-13 in the NSIC while the Vikings are the 7th seed at 18-10 on the season and 13-9 in league play. WSC enters the NSIC Tournament on a three-game win streak, shooting over 50 percent in all three games, while the Vikings have won four straight. The two teams met in the regular season in Wayne on December 13th with Augustana prevailing 101-88 thanks to 62.7 percent shooting (32-51). This is just the second-ever meeting between the two clubs in the NSIC Tournament. In 2010 Wayne State (14-14) shocked #15 Augustana (22-6) 75-52 at the Elmen Center thanks to 52 percent shooting from the field (26-50) to go with 18 of 19 free throw shooting.
