Wayne State hosts #11 Minnesota State Saturday evening at Bob Cunningham Field in Wayne with kickoff set at 6 p.m. for the Family Day Game with a fireworks show planned following the game. Both teams are 2-0 on the season and 1-0 in the NSIC.  The Wildcats are coming off a 44-17 win at MSU Moorhead while the Mavericks have opened the season with a pair of Top 25 wins that includes last week's 31-29 win over #25 Bemidji State on a 31-yard field goal to win the game. The Mavericks lead the all-time series 14-2 over WSC. Last season MSU won 31-14 in Mankato while two years ago the Wildcats outscored the Mavericks in Wayne 41-33.
