Box Score Wayne State College played their Senior Day match against the Cougars from the University of Sioux Falls. WSC was able to score the one and only goal of the contest late in the second half to earn the win, 1-0. WSC improved their record to 3-2-1 and 2-0 in NSIC and USF dropped to 0-5 and 0-1 in NSIC.

WSC held a one-shot advantage through the first half, holding USF to just five shots.
Sidney Truman pulled in two saves in the first period to keep the Cougars off the board through the first half. After 45 minutes of play, the score remained 0-0.

The Wildcats turned up their aggression in the second half, out shooting the Cougars 11-2 and had six of those shots on goal. Senior

Paige Pemberton who was able to get the ball on the right corner of the penalty box and sent the ball into the top left corner to give WSC and 1-0 advantage with six minutes of play left. Wayne State kept up the aggression and looked to score another goal and limited USF's control of the ball.

Truman finished the match with four saves in 90 minutes. Vacks led the 'Cats with five shots and two on goal in the match. Pemperton,
Neleah Dunlap and
Riann Daas each had two shots in the contest while WSC outshot their opponents 17-7.

The Wildcats will be at home again next weekend hosting Minnesota Duluth Friday at 3 p.m. and St. Cloud State Sunday in a 1 p.m. contest at the WSC Soccer Pitch. Â
