Wayne State continues a rugged schedule of four nationally-ranked opponents in a five-game stretch as the 'Cats visit Sioux Falls Thursday evening at 6 p.m. followed by a Saturday afternoon 2 p.m. home contest against #15 Southwest Minnesota State. The Wildcats are coming off two impressive home wins over Top 25 teams last weekend, sweeping then #22 Minnesota State Friday followed by a 3-2 come-from-behind win against #10 St. Cloud State Saturday. Last season, WSC played five-set matches against both opponents this week as the 'Cats outlasted USF in Wayne 26-24, 20-25, 25-22, 17-25, 15-11 while the Mustangs posted a reverse sweep win over Wayne State in Wayne by scores of 24-26, 19-25, 25-21, 25-19, 15-12.
