#6 Wayne State used an efficient .346 hitting percentage in cruising past Bemidji State 25-15, 25-21, 25-17 in Northern Sun Conference volleyball Friday evening at Bemidji, Minnesota. The Wildcats move to 19-3 overall and 12-1 in the NSIC with the win while the host Beavers fall to 7-14 and 4-9 in league play.
Host Bemidji State held a 7-6 lead early in the opening set, but WSC reeled off eight of the next nine points for a 14-8 lead and never looked back in winning the first set 25-15.

The Wildcats never trailed in the second set but had a strong finish to down the Beavers 25-21.
WSC held a 16-12 lead, but the host Beavers rallied and got within one at 18-17. Kills from Robles and Hanel gave WSC a 20-17 edge and forced Bemidji State into a timeout. The 'Cats closed the set with a Hanel block and a pair of

Miller had four kills in the second set as WSC forced Bemidji State into eight attack errors. Hanel,
Mattie Kamery and Robles each had service aces.
The third set saw the Wildcats hit .515 with 18 kills and just one attack error as WSC closed the match with a 25-17 set win for the sweep.
Miller accounted for six kills in the set followed by Kamery with five and Robles four.
Wayne State finished the match hitting .346 with 45 kills, nine errors and 104 attacks while Bemidji State recorded a .124 percentage on 32 kills, 18 errors and 113 attacks. WSC held a 54-42 edge in digs and 6-3 in service aces while both teams had two blocks.
Miller's 14 kills paced Wayne State in hitting followed by Robles with 11. Robles also had 12 digs for her ninth double-double of the season. Junior defensive specialist
Reese Johnson also had 12 digs with Kamery and sophomore libero
Anna Borner each recording 10.
Romano was credited with 34 assists and had two aces along with Robles.
The Wildcats close out this week's three-game NSIC road trip Saturday afternoon playing at #18 Minnesota Duluth in a 4 p.m. contest.
