Wayne State will conclude the regular season at home in Rice Auditorium this weekend hosting NSIC newcomer Jamestown Friday evening at 6 p.m. on Autograph Poster Night and Northern State Saturday in a 5 p.m. contest on Veterans Appreciation Day where all veterans are admitted free with military ID shown. The Wildcats climbed two spots to third in this week's AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll following two NSIC road sweeps last weekend at Minot State and UMary. WSC is now 24-3 on the season, winners of 11 straight matches, and still tied for first in the NSIC with a 17-1 league record. WSC and Jamestown have not faced each other in volleyball since 2002 when the 'Cats topped the Jimmies at a tournament in Brookings, S.D. 30-17, 30-13, 30-27. Last season, WSC and Northern State faced each other twice with each team posting road wins. The 'Cats won in a sweep at Aberdeen (9/21/24) 25-19, 25-19, 25-18 while NSU came to Wayne November 9th and outlasted WSC in five sets 25-18, 18-25, 19-25, 25-20, 15-11.
