Wayne State is #3 seed for NCAA Central Region Volleyball Tournament

            Wayne State College was announced as the #3 seed for the NCAA Division II Central Region Volleyball Tournament as pairings for the NCAA Division II National Tournament were announced Monday evening by NCAA.  It's the 14th time in program history that the Wildcat program has qualified for the NCAA Division II National Tournament.
            Wayne State is 27-4 on the season and tied for first in the NSIC with a 19-1 league record this season to capture a third NSIC regular season title in the last four seasons.  The Wildcats will face #6 seed Washburn with a 26-4 record and it will mark the first-time ever that the two teams are meeting in NCAA post-season play.
            MIAA Tournament champion Nebraska-Kearney was awarded the top seed with a 29-3 record and will meet #8 seed Oklahoma Baptist (22-9), champions of the Great American Conference Tournament.  Concordia-St. Paul is the two seed at 26-5 and will meet #7 seed Central Oklahoma (27-5) who captured the Central Region title last year in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
            The other first-round match is #4 seed and NSIC Tournament champion St. Cloud State (26-6) battling #5 seed Missouri Western (21-7).
            Game times and dates for the NCAA Central Region Volleyball Tournament are expected to be announced Tuesday afternoon.

#1 seed Nebraska-Kearney (29-3) vs. #8 seed Oklahoma Baptist (22-9)
#2 seed Concordia-St. Paul (26-5) vs. #7 seed Central Oklahoma (27-5)
#3 seed Wayne State (27-4) vs. #6 seed Washburn (26-4)
#4 seed St. Cloud State (26-6) vs. #5 seed Missouri Western (21-7)
