Wayne State returns to Northern Sun Conference play this week as the Wildcats host Sioux Falls Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. followed by a Saturday afternoon trip to Marshall, Minnesota to battle the Mustangs in a 4 p.m. NSIC South Division contest. For the next six NSIC doubleheaders, the women's game will be played second from now through January 17th. The 'Cats are 6-1 (1-0 NSIC) after closing out non-conference play Monday night with a 95-27 win over Hesston College of Kansas. USF has won four straight games and is 4-2 and 1-0 in the NSIC while SMSU starts the week at 2-4 and 0-1 in the league. Last season, USF and WSC split with each team winning on the road - WSC won 72-70 in Sioux Falls and USF won 54-39 in Wayne. SMSU won both games over the 'Cats last season 75-71 in Marshall and 78-65 in Wayne.
