Four members of the Wayne State College women's basketball team were selected to the 2024-25 Academic All-District Women's Basketball Teams announced Tuesday morning. The Wildcat quartet honored includes seniors
Carsyn Boswell,
Delaney Clark and
Tate Norblade along with sophomore
Brooklyn Kruse.
The award is selected by College Sports Communicators and recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
Boswell, a 5-8 senior guard from Carlsbad, New Mexico, maintains a 3.927 grade point average majoring in clinical mental health. She started all 27 games this season for the Wildcats and averaged 6.6 points and 2.7 rebounds per game, leading the team in free throw percentage at 90.9 percent (20-22) while tied for second in 3-point field goals with 32. Boswell had eight games in double figures this season highlighted by a Wayne State career-high 19 points vs. Augustana February 1
st.
Clark is a 5-11 senior guard from Appleton, Wisconsin and carries a 3.921 grade point average majoring in criminal justice. This season, Clark accounted for 8.2 points and 3.1 rebounds per game while making a team-high 52 3-pointers ranking sixth in the NSIC in 3-point field goals per game. Clark had nine games scoring in double figures this season led by a career-high 19 points at Minnesota Crookston January 24
th.
Kruse, a 6-3 sophomore forward from Wayne, has a 3.969 grade point average majoring in math education. She averaged 5.7 points and 2.2 rebounds per game while playing all 27 games this season. Kruse had six games scoring double figures this season highlighted by a season-high 15 points in just 15 minutes playing time vs. #21 Southwest Minnesota State on February 11
th.
Norblade, a 5-9 senior guard from Papillion, earned CSC Academic All-District honors for a second straight season with a cumulative grade point average of 3.926 majoring in K-12 Physical Education. This season Norblade averaged 10.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per contest while scoring double figures in 16 games. She ranked second in the NSIC in minutes played per game (35.5) and was fifth in free throw percentage at 83.5 percent going 101-121 at the line.
Wayne State College is an NCAA Division II school located in Wayne, Nebraska and competes in the 15-team Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The Wildcats finished the 2024-25 season with a record of 11-16 overall and finished 10
th place in the NSIC with a 8-14 league record.
