Maya Fitzpatrick of Wayne State College was named to the 2024-25 NSIC Women's Basketball All-Conference Team released Thursday morning by the league office in Burnsville, Minnesota, earning Second Team honors.
A 5-10 senior guard/forward from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota (Champlin Park HS), Fitzpatrick led the Wildcats in scoring this season averaging 13.3 points per contest, ranking 12
th in the NSIC. She also averaged 4.7 rebounds per outing and ranked sixth in the league in minutes played per game (32.6), tied for seventh in steals (1.9) and blocks (1.1) per game and was 15
th in the NSIC in assists per contest (2.5).
Fitzpatrick scored double figures in 17 games this season and had six games of 20 or more points. She had three straight games in early January score 20 or more points, highlighted by a career-high 28 points in a 87-82 win over Northern State on January 10
th. Fitzpatrick also recorded 22 points in a 71-64 win at Bemidji State January 3
rd and produced 21 points in a 67-57 victory over Nebraska-Kearney November 20
th.
In NSIC games, Fitzpatrick averaged a team-high 13.8 points with 4.5 rebounds per game while starting all 22 league games recording double figures in 15 contests.
Fitzpatrick ended her Wildcat career ranking second in steals with 210, one of just two players in school history to record 200 or more career steals. She just missed reaching the 1,000-point mark scoring 963 points in a Wildcat uniform.
Wayne State College is an NCAA Division II school located in Wayne, Nebraska and competes in the 15-team Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The Wildcats finished the 2024-25 season with a record of 11-16 overall and finished 10
th place in the NSIC with a 8-14 league record.
