Wayne State hits the road for the first time this season Saturday evening as the Wildcats face Northern State in Aberdeen, South Dakota in a Northern Sun Conference contest at 6 p.m. Last week, WSC moved to 1-1 on the season with a 42-7 home win over the University of Mary while the Wolves opened their season falling 42-28 at Sioux Falls. Northern State holds a 17-11 lead in the tightly-contested series between the two schools that started in 1954 and 1955. The last seven meetings and nine of the previous 11 matchups have been decided by seven points or less, including last year's 28-21 Wolves' win in Wayne on November 9th. Three of the last seven games had margins of two or three points with the 2019 meeting going double overtime.
