The Wayne State women's basketball team will play three games in four days this weekend thanks to weather issues last weekend in Minnesota. The 'Cats now host Minnesota Crookston in a makeup game Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. after the contest was postponed twice over the weekend in Minnesota due to bad weather. WSC then travels Thursday to North Dakota where the Wildcats face UMary Friday at 5:30 p.m. in Bismarck followed by a 3:30 p.m. Saturday contest at Minot State.
The 'Cats are back over the .500 mark at 9-8 overall and 4-7 in the NSIC South following Saturday's 68-51 win at MSU Moorhead. UMC enters Wednesday's game at 4-13 amd 3-8 in the league. UMary is second in the NSIC North at 8-4 and 15-6 overall while Minot State starts the weekend 8-11 and 5-7 in conference play. Last season UMC edged WSC in Crookston 70-67. The 'Cats have dropped seven straight to UMary including a 53-51 home loss last year and WSC and Minot State split last season with each team winning at home - WSC 63-45 in Wayne and Minot State 69-59 in Minot.
