Wayne State could not overcome 26 turnovers, resulting in a 22-7 advantage for visiting Minnesota Crookston in points off turnovers, as the Golden Eagles defeated the Wildcats 68-59 in a Northern Sun Conference women's basketball makeup game Wednesday evening at Rice Auditorium in Wayne.  WSC saw their three-game winning streak snapped, falling to 9-9 and 4-8 in the league, while Minnesota Crookston improves to 5-13 and 4-8 in NSIC play.
Minnesota Crookston held a pair of four-point leads in the opening quarter including 15-11 with 2:12 to go in the quarter, but WSC scored the last six points of the quarter for a 17-15 lead thanks to a pair of Meg Rietz baskets and a driving layup by Lily Fitzgerald.
The Golden Eagles held the lead for just over seven minutes of the second quarter and were in front by six at 30-24 at the 2:48 mark.  WSC rallied to end the half and forged a 36-36 tie at intermission thanks to a basket from sophomore Addy Johnson right before halftime.
