Wayne State will open NSIC cross-division play this weekend in Rice Auditorium as the Wildcats host Northern State Friday at 5:30 p.m. and NSIC newcomer University of Jamestown Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. contest. During Friday's home game Wildcat fans will be entertained at halftime with a performance featuring Tyler's Amazing Balancing Act - seen on shows such as America's Got Talent, The Go Big Show, ESPN and Ripley's Believe it or Not!.
The Wildcats are 8-6 on the season and 4-4 in the NSIC South following Saturday's 76-73 road win at Augustana. Northern State comes to Wayne at 5-9 overall and tied for second in the NSIC North at 5-3 while Jamestown starts the weekend at 7-7 and also tied for second in the NSIC North with a 5-3 league record. WSC has won the last three meetings against Northern State, including an 84-61 win in Wayne last year, while the 'Cats and Jimmies will be facing each other for the first time in men's basketball Saturday in Wayne.
