Wildcat football ranked 25th in latest AFCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll

First AFCA national ranking for WSC in five years

            The Wayne State football team is ranked 25th in this week's AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll released late Monday morning.  It's the first AFCA national ranking for the Wildcats in five years (10/11/21) and just the second national AFCA ranking for the 'Cats dating back to the 2011 season.  
            Wayne State is 6-1 on the season and 5-1 in the NSIC following Saturday's 45-13 NSIC road win at Bemidji State.  The Wildcats are on a bye this week and return to play on Saturday, October 24th with a road game at #5 Minnesota State (7-0) set for 1 p.m. in Mankato, Minnesota.
