Box Score #2 Wayne State used a balanced offensive attack with three players posting over 10 kills as the Wildcats picked up a 25-23, 25-19, 20-25, 25-15 victory at Northern State Friday evening in Northern Sun Conference volleyball played at Wachs Arena in Aberdeen, South Dakota. WSC is now 8-0 in the NSIC and 16-1 on the season while the host Wolves slip to 11-5 and 6-2 in conference play.
The first set saw the Wildcats hold off a late Northern State rally to post a 25-23 set win after WSC led 19-13 late in the first set.
Wayne State recorded 18 kills in the second set while posting four blocks as the 'Cats handed the Wolves a 25-19 second set defeat for a 2-0 match lead.
Northern State kept the contest alive in the third set coming up with a 25-20 set win over the Wildcats. NSU accounted for 16 kills in the set while WSC was held to a .225 hitting percentage.
The Wildcats regained the momentum early in the fourth set building an 8-3 advantage while never trailing in finishing with a 25-15 set win and a 3-1 match victory.
Wayne State hit .270 for the match while Northern State had a .181 hitting percentage. The 'Cats held a 58-47 edge in kills, 72-68 in digs and 9-3 in blocks.

Chloe Hanel had 15 kills to pace Wayne State in hitting followed by Delany Miller with 13. Sophomore outside hitter
Mattie Kamery contributed a double-double with a season-high 11 kills and 13 digs.

Reese Johnson produced a team-best 16 digs with junior libero
Anna Borner and senior outside hitter
Channatee Robles each adding 12. Setter
Molly Romano handed out 44 set assists in the win.
WSC is in action again Saturday afternoon with a 1 p.m. match at the University of Jamestown.
