Thanks to a 4-0 start that included a win over previous #2 Tampa (Fla,), the Wayne State volleyball team moved up seven spots to second in the first regular season AVCA/TARAFLEX Division II Volleyball Coaches Poll released Monday afternoon. The Wildcats collected 11 first-place votes and 1066 points in voting conducted by various Division II coaches across the nation following three dominant sweeps and a five-set win over #2 Tampa.
Wayne State is on the road this weekend at the Colorado Premier Challenge in Denver as the 'Cats face Central Missouri Friday at 11 a.m. followed by a 7 p.m. contest at Regis (Colo.).
